Missing Tara Air plane with 23 onboard

Missing Tara Air Viking 9N-AHH Twin Otter carrying 20 passengers and three crew members en route to Jomsom from Pokhara could have crashed in Myagdi’s Rupse.A police team has been sent to the border of Myagdi and Mustang districts after locals complained of a fire in the area.

The plane took off from Pokhara at 7:47 this morning and lost contact with Pokhara Air Traffic Control after 10 minutes of take off. ‘See you again, good day’ was the last words from the plane’s senior captain Roshan Manandhar.The passengers included one Chinese and one Kuwaiti national and two infants, according to the airlines officials.Two helicopters have been sent from Pokhara for searching the missing plane flown by pilot Manandhar and co-pilot D Namkul.Tara Air has said that it has received reports of a missing plane. The airline said that the aircraft was a new one purchased by the airline on September.
